The paper briefly reviews the history of strategic planning guide of the PLA, and introduces some representative contents, and based on this, the authors sum up the characteristics of the PLA strategic planning guidelines, and think about enlightenment of the PLA strategic planning guide to the libraries for our country on strategic planning guide preparing.
From a perspective of causal mechanism, with the antecedents of service quality, a hypothesis model for predicting service loyalty including mediator variables service value and service satisfaction is proposed. Comparing with international studies, the survey data analysis using structural equation model shows that it is service value not service satisfaction plays intermediary role of service quality and service loyalty. Value first rule, satisfaction illusion, complex angles of service loyalty and dynamic multi-dimensional service quality are brought out to discuss.
Basing on the summary of the utilization of the major professional research networking sites abroad, this paper chooses an open research networking site-Academia.edu as a case, and through investigation and analysis the authors find that there are some problems, such as the updated information time lag, student group being the major user role, the homogenization trend of their users, the asymmetry between their users’ activity level and their academic achievement, etc. The research or academic institutions should reasonably avoid these defects in the design of the future research networking, in order to better serve scientific communication.

This paper analyzes three cooperative PDA programs in the Library of University at Buffalo. And then, it puts forwards four suggestions: the first is to consider the collection mode of ownership vs. access with the idea of co-collecting and co-sharing; the second is readers’ need- oriented and controlled; the third is to make use of electronic business and express service to afford a sneak peak of new books for readers; the fourth is to begin a pilot project based on current library consortia.
