This paper comprehensively analyzes the structure and contents of the policy and legal supporting system of the library board system in some developed countries, discusses the various regulations, receives enlightenment about the organization structure, personnel structure, meeting system, allowance, etc., and puts forward some suggestions on improving the level of corporate governance of libraries in our country.
The British Library development vein is reviewed in this paper which had impacted on the development of the British Library Act. Staff composition, functions, requirements for appointment about the British Library Board are summarized and the operating mechanism of three professional committees which compose the organizational structure of the board are analyzed, the authors focus on the functions operation mechanism and duties of the board audit committee and remuneration committee. The issues about the board meeting are introduced including the participants , times, topics. Register of interests of board member and its six categories are described. To absorb board members with various working background, to run the board audit committees and register of interests of board member are important to improve the development of library in China.
From viewpoint of institutional library science,the paper adopts library governance structure, analyzes some typical samples of America爷s early cities and towns library,and summaries the key features and evolution patterns. Accompany with social process, the public property of library is constantly growing, the stakeholder interests are more complicating, and the governance structure is continuously improving. In the future should follow the development trend of American library governance structure in the contemporary society, and bring up with references for China.
This paper introduced the development and operation of National Museum and Library Service Board and state libraries′ board systems, and analyzed governing board and advisory board in America local public libraries and public library system. The trend of four respects on development of public library board system in America are explored including the strengthening of overall strategic planning functions of board of trustees, the fully participation in public culture service, the association management of public libraries managing the board trustee,the integration of public libraries resources.
The development trend of contemporary network spatial information process are discussed in the paper. The new trend of the process of land, sea, air and outer space network five space competition game, cross domain integration development trend are analyzed,and the author points out that the process calls for a comprehensive strategy and the destinies of the philosophy and practice of governance mode.
The qualitative data is collected from 17 scientific researchers using semi-structured interviews. Then four primary factors that influence scientific researcher′s personal academic information re-finding behavior are concluded according to coding analysis based on grounded theory, and the influence factors model is constructed. This research found individual factor, context factor, information factor and personal attitude are the major factors, individual factor and personal attitude are internal attribution, context factor and information factor are external attribution. Through exploring the influence factors of personal academic information re-finding behavior of scientific researchers, the research provides the theoretical guidance and support for developing effective personal information management tools and improving and optimizing personal information management for scientific researchers.
The authors utilize the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) model and Self-Organizing Map (SOM) technique to compare and analyze similarities and differences between salient topic categories and characterize their evolution patterns and temporal trends in microblogs regarding Ebola outbreak in West African on Twitter and Weibo. Salient topic categories were identified and compared on two platforms. Finally, practical suggestions were provided for public health emergency response departments according to those characteristics.
This paper analyzes that it is feasible to take a global map of science as a base map of a science overlay map,illustrating the relationship among disciplines in a global map of science. Several science overlay maps of different universities are made to compare both on the outputs of different organizations transversely and on the outputs within an organization vertically. The result indicates that science overlay maps fit with researchers from the perspective of discipline to easily find the advantage and characteristic disciplines,track temporal changes and explore collaborations. Science overlay map can be an effective tool to illustrate portfolios of organizations.
This paper has a study of the knowledge evolution and development history of main path analysis in citation network, by using citation chronological chart analysis and main path analysis, combined with the content analysis method. The result shows that (1)the main path of knowledge evolution in the field of main path analysis in citation network is composed of 9 key literatures, and (2)there are "three key figures"and "three key events" marking the significant progress of the method, which is the evidence to divide the evolution into 3 stages. And, at last, (3) we summarize the relevant research situation in China, and point out the deficiency of main path analysis method in citation network ,and some more suggestions are put forward to remedy the weaknesses of main path analysis when it is used in study.
This article constructs "tag-user" 2-mode network based on affiliation between tags and users in folksonomy, and the interaction relationship between tags and users is analyzed with centrality method. The results show that the core position of tags and users in particular domain of knowledge are affected by both the quantity of connection and quality of connection; the ability of users to control knowledge resources is better than the ability of tags to control user resource, and the ability to control is not directly related with the core position; the closeness of tags and users are relatively balanced, and the closeness of users is slightly better than the closeness of tags. Furthermore, the research makes a useful exploration for systematically revealing interaction between objective knowledge and subjective cognizing in folksonomy.
On the basis of a review on the foreign data driven library collection construction practice in recent years, according to the source and the application range of data used in collection analysis, the typical projects are segmentated and summarized, new methods and development tendency of collection analysis were illustrated. Also, the implementation process and experience of data driven construction of library collection were provided, the institutions of China intends to carry out the data driven collection construction practice can learn from that.
According to the comparison of paradigm, technical frameworks and policy route, this paper illustrates the difference in the economic, price structure, asset attributes, technical and the policy path between information resources and information content industry. Therefore, this paper studies the industry formats of information resources industry and suggests three forms: command and control, public or private win-win cooperation and exchange, on the basis of the contract theory. Finally, it suggests that the government shall promote market behavior and deregulate antitrust regime respectively.
This paper adopts case survey and literature review, analyzes the factors and patterns of 3Dprinting service of 29 libraries in China. It summarizes the types, equipment, training and fee of 3D printing service of libraries. It puts forwards three models, including win-win pattern, study on industry and brand-new community mode to provide support for 3D printing service.
In this study, the public information service mode was designed based on information assistance for vulnerable groups,including a fixed type, flow type, project type, cooperation type, call type, remote type. These seven different models have different emphases, and contact each other. The scale of information assistance for vulnerable groups can be big or small and the information service of vulnerable groups should not only use a single model, may select different operation modes according to the specific environment, target characteristics and the expected object, in order to promote the level of public information service for vulnerable groups.
Based on literatures of the CNKI digital publishing platform,this paper analyzes research papers about university libraries′social services in China from 2006 to 2015, and analyzes the way and the main modes of our country's university library social services combined with the actual work of university libraries, and then some classical cases are analyzed in order to provide reference for the social service practice of university libraries in our country.
Non-state-operated library as an important part of public cultural undertakings, has several operational models,such as independent operation, associated commerce,chain operation,and privately run understate ownership. At present non-state-operated library meet some trouble in institutional system, management,and social function.We need to improve the institutional system, strengthen the non-state-operated library hematopoietic function, stimulating social demand, and strengthening government support and improve management and other measures to bail out.
Based on the theory of social network analysis, this paper took “# Technology is interesting #” topic of Tsinghua Tongfang TV official microblog as the research object and made empirical research of the structure characteristics, network centrality and communication medium using social network analysis tools such as Web crawler, Chinese word segmentation, Gephi etc. Through the analysis of “# Technology is interesting #” the authors found this enterprise knowledge sharing network is loose network and it is in favor of explicit knowledge sharing. Mobile terminal knowledge sharing network is scale - free network and that of non - mobile terminal is small world network.
