This paper, based on grounded theory, depth interviews and focus group were carried out for 30 samples, through the open coding, the axial coding, the selective encoding, and theoretical saturation test, sums up 19 conceptual categories that affect the social media adoption of digital natives, and develops into 5 main categories, and constructsa model of the influence factors in social media adoption. The results show that motivation and emotion perception are the internal factors that affect the social media adoption of digital natives, platform function and social context are external factors, ability characteristics play a role in regulating the strength of motivation and the adoption behavior.

The paper analyzes the status quo of social networking academic activities of Chinese academic staff through questionnaires, and proposes the research hypotheses about influence factors of social networking academic activities by literature research and confirms the supposition by using structural equation model. The results show that Chinese social networking academic activities is high demanded but active degree is low, mainly used to share relevant research, exchange academic viewpoints and organize academic meetings; subject characteristics, platform quality, perceived value, switching costs and academic environment are the main factors that influence the willingness of scientific researchers to use social network; constructing high quality academic social network platform and creating the academic environment to adapt to the social network academic activities are two important aspects to support new academic activity pattern.

This study explores the relationship between exploratory search task attributes and information search behaviorby an experiment. Foursimulated work task situations are designed to examine the issues and assigned to 48 participants. Meanwhile, the 48 participants are required to bring one real work task to the experiment. The experiment is recorded by video software. Subjective task complexity is measured through structure complexity, process complexity and output complexity in the pre-search questionnaire. Task difficulty is measured throughquery difficulty, search difficulty and relevance judgement difficulty in the post-search questionnaire. Seven types of behaviors are extracted from the recordings, such as querying, full-text downloading, page turning, using advanced search, refining, opening the abstract page and way to process the file. The results indicate that whether searching for high-complexity task or high-diffficulty task, users’searching behaviors are significantly correlated to each other. Although the study does not find significant predictors for high-complexity tasks, the number of full-text downloading, page viewing, and opening abstract page could significantly predict high-difficulty tasks. The study has implications in assisting digital libraries to support personalization of information retrieval.

Breaking through the traditional one-way and binary relationship between the questionnaire designer and respondents, and based on the interaction thinking and action research theory, this paper firstly constructs a respondents-centered questionnaire design model, and shows its four major processes and five elements. Then it looks the process dimension as the main line and carries out a complete action research on the questionnaire design of the elderly people’s holiday information demand. The purpose is to achieve a good understanding of the respondents and the problem space through the constant interaction and meaning construction so as to improve the quality of questionnaire in the way of empathy.
