Abstract:[Purpose/significance] In this paper, based on the frequent occurrence of COVID-19 pneumonia in older adults who do not cooperate with epidemic prevention, we study the characteristics of older adults' information perception and protective action decision-making during public health emergencies. Discuss the relevant influencing factors of older adults as stakeholders when making protective action decisions in emergency information management of public health emergencies, to provide some help for the overall improvement of the future elderly information supply system. [Method/process] The article adopts the empirical analysis method and uses web crawler technology to grab 772 epidemic related articles from WeChat public account platform. At the same time, based on a questionnaire survey, the project obtained the information perception of 660 older adults during the epidemic. Based on keyword extraction and social network analysis, this project used the network text mining method analyzes data. This paper combines protective action decision-making models with the elderly health information and healthy behavior theory, based on the evolution of protective actions of the elderly in different life cycles of public health emergencies, and analyzes the characteristics of the elderly's information perception and protective action decision.[Result/conclusion] The results of the study found that: in public health emergencies, firstly, the content of early warning information is a key factor influencing elderly risk perception and protective action decisions; secondly, in different life cycle stages, elderly risk perception is prone to large fluctuations; Finally, when making protective action decisions, the elderly are more likely to make emotionally irrational behaviors due to interest-related issues.
[Purpose/significance] It is crucial for the emerging research field of data storytelling to define the conceptof data storytelling, to indetify the differences between data story and literary story as well as to implement data storyproducts automatically by software engineering methods. [Mothod/process] First, the concept and the features of datastorytelling are introduced respectively, based upon conducting acomprehensive literature review on the related studies. Second, the automatic generation process of data stories is proposed by data science principles. Third, a referenceframework for data story softeware enginneing is provided in line with Software Engineering methods. [Result/conclusion] The automatic generation process of data stories is of great significance for theoretical research on data storytelling, and its software engineering reference framework provides an integrated solution for developing data story productas well as nurturing its ecosystem.
[Purpose/significance] Visual storytelling is being used more and more in practice, especially on networkplatforms. Sorting out and summarizing the characteristics, methods and applications of visual storytelling is importantfor the further development of data visualization and the interdisciplinary integration of data science.[Method/process]In this paper, we systematically sort out the characteristics of visual storytelling firstly, then analyze the different typesof visual storytelling through multiple practical cases, reveal the realization methods of visual storytelling, and describethe design of different applications. [Result/conclusion] The study found that interactive visualization research, theo?retical models, theoretical research focus and special development tools need to be further deepened.
[Purpose/significance] Data storytelling is the process of building a narrative based on data and conveyingdata insights. There are many technologies of related research areas can support implementation of data storytelling. This study attempts to sort out the key technologies of the process of data story narration and design a technical framework. [Method / process] This paper discusses two ways of data story narration firstly, namely visual narrative and textnarrative. Then the technical framework of data story narration is built and its application in data storytelling is described in detail. Finally, the development characteristics of related techniques and tools of data storytelling are discussed. [Result/conclusion] In this paper, it is proposed that the process of data storytelling includes the generation ofdata story and the narrative of data story. In the narrative process, a variety of related technologies are useful, while therelevant technologies in the generation process are lacking. In addition, six development characteristics of data storynarration related technologies are summarized.
[Purpose/significance] The establishment of correction mechanism is critical to improve the quality of datain promoting open government data. The purpose of this paper is to provide reference for improving China's correctionmechanism by studying the correction mechanism of open government data in USA. [Method/process] The paper studies the establishment and improvement of the correction mechanism in USA. It also analyzes the subject of the correction, the agencies responsible for accepting the correction, the content scope, ways and procedures of correction, the appeal and supervision measures, and the protection measures for agencies. [Result/conclusion] This paper holds thatthe designs of the applicant's burden of proof, and protection measures against judicial review of government's refusalto correct decisions have brought good results. Based on the practice, this paper puts forward the enlightenment of improving the correction mechanism: clearly define the responsible organization, content scope and procedure of correction; improve the supervision mechanism to government departments; set the decision of government agencies whetherto correct data as discretionary behavior.
[Purpose/significance] Research on the characteristics and influencing factors of browsing behavior of research publications in academic social networks can help users improve the dissemination effect and influence of research publications based on academic social networks. [Method/process] With 32 501 research publications selecting from ResearchGate, this paper reveals the overall distribution of reads and the time-series change in weeks. Fromthe four dimensions of first author, number of collaborators, presentation form and quality level, this paper uses correlation analysis combined with principal components analysis and logistic regression analysis to explore the influencingfactors of research publications’reads. [Result/conclusion] The research discovers that the reads of research publications in academic social networks present the power-law distribution, and the dissemination effect of most researchpublications is still small in weeks. According to its time-series change, research publications can be divided into fourtypes: swell and swell, continuous ascent, steady change and low-read. Full article and abstract pictures reflecting thecompleteness of research publications’content on RG, the average reads of the first author, the research interest and citations reflecting the quality of research publications all have significant positive impacts on the browsing level of research publications, and the degree of impact decreases in turn. Enriching the display form and content of research publications and improving the visibility of complete publications are the keys to improve the reads of research publications for academic social networks and their users.
