[目的/意义]文章对国内外科学数据共享、管理、开放和出版等相关实践领域元数据的研究进展进行分 析，以期揭示相关实践领域元数据的研究动向和发展趋势，为我国元数据建设和相关研究提供参考。[方法/过程] 通过文献调研的方法，对近年来国内外科学数据相关实践中的元数据研究进行归纳总结。[结果/结论]国内外研 究领域开始将元数据作为一种资源，通过组织、关联和挖掘充分发挥元数据的价值。通常在通用标准的基础上， 结合科学数据本身特点，对标准进行修改和整合以形成应用文档。对于元数据的质量控制已经成为关注的热点 之一。当前研究多以实践经验的总结和揭示为主，基础理论研究较为欠缺。未来研究将朝着支持开放科学建设 的方向发展。

 [Purpose/significance] This paper summarizes the research progress of metadata in scientific data related practical fields including data sharing, management, openness and publishing, in order to reveal the research trend and development trend of metadata, and provide reference for metadata construction and related research. [Method/process]Through literature research, this paper summarizes the research on metadata in scientific data related practice at home and abroad in recent years. [Result / conclusion] Research fields at home and abroad begin to take metadata as a resource, and give full play to its value through organization, association and mining. Generally, combined with the characteristics of scientific data, the standards are modified based on the general standards and integrated to form meta? data application profiles. The quality control of metadata has been a hot topic. However, most of the current researches focus on the summary of practical experience, while the basic theoretical research is relatively deficient. In the future, the research will develop towards the direction of supporting open science construction.
