Abstract

This paper analyzes three cooperative PDA programs in the Library of University at Buffalo. And then, it puts forwards four suggestions: the first is to consider the collection mode of ownership vs. access with the idea of co-collecting and co-sharing; the second is readers’ need- oriented and controlled; the third is to make use of electronic business and express service to afford a sneak peak of new books for readers; the fourth is to begin a pilot project based on current library consortia.
