[Purpose/significance] The current virtual knowledge community has become an important channel for people to exchange information and acquire knowledge. Although technological development has effectively promoted the dissemination efficiency of knowledge and information, the phenomenon of information stickiness in virtual knowledge communities is still relatively common. Although the traditional information diffusion models such as Bass model and epidemic model can simulate the propagation process of information in the virtual knowledge community, it is difficult to explain the inherent causes of information stickiness. [Method/process] This paper proposes a research framework based on information stickiness theory, aiming at information (responses and articles) produced by users in the virtual knowledge community. The research content includes the measurement of information stickiness, the causes identification of information stickiness, and the evolution analysis of information stickiness. In order to discover the principle behind information stickiness in the virtual knowledge community, and provide theoretical support for improving information dissemination efficiency in the virtual knowledge community. [Result/conclusion] By exploring the influencing factors of information stickiness and its dynamic evolution in the virtual knowledge community, it is possible to develop a theoretical explanation of the imbalance phenomenon of information transmission and improve the shortcomings of the existing information transmission theoretical models.
