[Purpose/significance] The author systematically sorts out the main research advances of the China’s library, information, and archives management community in 2019. [Method/process] It employs content analysis assisted with simple quantitative analysis, comprehensively and focusedly reviews the historical research of the first-level discipline in their career, research, and education in the 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, digital humanities research, and the core knowledge, technology, and service changes in the context of data-driven research, and alsoreviews the research progress of library science, information science, and archival science in key areas in 2019 respectively. [Result/conclusion] The author argues that the discipline of library, information and archives management has achieved breakthroughs in academic research by adhering to the three major areas of closeness to the country's major needs, inheriting the core knowledge and missions of the discipline, and actively integrating the prac?
