[Purpose/significance] Based on the historical evolution and development status of social sciences information work, this paper explores the evolution and development of social sciences information work in China at present, aiming to promote the development of social sciences information research in China to the direction of intelligence and intelligence. [Method/process]From the perspective of information chain, establish the basic mission and historical position of social sciences information research. At the beginning, the current social sciences information industry is facing four challenges: the change of research perspective, the change of research paradigm, the change of research methods and the change of research technology. [Result/conclusion]Three innovative measures of social sciences information research driven by big data and technology were put forward, in order to form the academic system and discourse system of humanities and social sciences with Chinese characteristics in social sciences information research.
