[Purpose/significance] The arrival of the era of big data has once again triggered the innovative trend of safety & security-related intelligence science, and has aroused the future vision of security intelligence science in the academic community. Therefore, the intersection of security and intelligence is placed in the context of big data. It is of great significance to realize the update and output of knowledge products.[Method/process] From the perspectives of security science, intelligence science and data science, through literature review, historical comment and dilemma reflection, it analyzes the research context, realistic dilemma and possible development space created by big data intervention.[Result/conclusion] The co-evolution of security intelligence and big data has portrayed a mutually promising vision of knowledge prosperity: in terms of the relationship, big data is the innovation power of safety & security-related intelligence science, while the latter constitutes the platform of value realization of the former; At the theoretical level, fragmented security intelligence research is transformed into systematic subject knowledge driven by big data.
