[Purpose/significance] The paper aims to answer the research question: in the context of national new liberal arts strategy, what are the 2030 prospects for the development of the relationships between library and information science (LIS), digital humanities, data science, and health informatics? [Method/process] Starting from the literature on the relationship between LIS, digital humanities, data science, and health informatics, the paper employs the ethnographic future research (EFR) and invites 34 domestic scholars in LIS and related fields to refine the core competitiveness of these four fields, judge their mutual value, and predict the most optimistic, pessimistic, and most likely development prospects in 2030. [Result/conclusion] LIS, digital humanities, data science, and health informatics are more likely to have overlapping relationships in 2030. Health informatics is relatively more likely to become the lower category of LIS. The relationship of data science and LIS is relatively more independent.
