[Purpose/significance] The datafication of development in library science is unstoppable, and exploring, discovering, mastering and adapting to the laws will have an important influence on the basic theoretical research of library science.[Method/process] This artical uses CiteSpace tool, takes the domestic library science literature which focused on data and related issues in the past five years and summarizes three hot research areas.Also uses the questionnaire survey and interview methods to discusse the trends, causes and strategies of this development.[Results/conclusion] tThe survey shows that there is indeed a trend of datafication of the development in library science, which focuses on five aspects and presents four gradients. On this basis, the study found that the need of deep development of library information resources, the influence of quantitative research methods on the research of library science and the extension of the discipline boundary of library science are the important causes for the datafication of the development in library science, and finally several countermeasures are put forward.
