[Purpose/siganifiance] After the sixth evaluation, China's public library industry has entered a new era of“post-evaluation”. National environment and policy support, which is the general direction of library evaluation implementation, has an important influence on the development of evaluation theory in public library, innovation of evaluation standards, and promotion of evaluation practice. [Method/process] This paper sorts out and analyzes the relevant environment of public library evaluation in the post-evaluation era, grasping the new trend of public library evaluation from the environment of legalization, management diversification, transformation multidimension, industry integration environment and so on, sorting out relevant policies, and clarifies the new changes of public library evaluation in the post-evaluation era.[Result/conclusion] Based on the public library assessment environment and policy in the postassessment era, this paper reflects on the weaknesses of public library evaluation in the pre-assessment era, focusing on key issues, putting forwards the digital and wisdom technology , integration of culture and tourism, regional coordination and international cooperation plan for the future development, advancing the process of the public library evaluation, boosting the seventh assessment and rating of public library.
