[Purpose/significance] To analyze the cooperation connection strength between cooperative institutions
from the spatial gravity measurement model of scientific research cooperative institutions, so as to provide new ideas for
further exploring scientific research cooperation, and provide intellectual support for relevant departments to allocate
scientific research resources and promote the high-quality development of scientific research. [Method/process] The
scientific research strength of scientific research institutions is characterized by point degree centrality, and the high?
way mileage between the two institutions represents the geographical distance. On the basis of comprehensively consid?
ering the factors of scientific research strength and geographical distance, the spatial gravity measurement model of sci?
entific research cooperation institutions is constructed, based on the data of 410 winning projects of national scientific
and technological progress awards from 2016 to 2020, Gephi software is used to calculate the point degree centrality of
the cooperation institutions of the award-winning projects of the national science and technology progress award. At the
same time, according to the institutional cooperation co- occurrence matrix, query the institutional highway mileage,
calculate the spatial gravity between scientific research cooperation institutions, build the scientific research institution
cooperation connection network, and reveal the institutional cooperation connection situation. [Result/conclusion] The
tendency of cross regional scientific research cooperation among institutions is becoming stronger and stronger, but the
obstacle of geographical distance to the strength of cooperation connection can’t be ignored. In order to promote the
high-quality development of industry university research cooperation, the following suggestions are put forward: pro?
