[Purpose/significance] In view of the various functions of the existing patent information service platforms
and the gap between the high development cost for platform function and low utilization. From the perspective of patent
information users’psychological satisfaction and sensitivity, the paper is aimed at the precise match of users’psycho?
logical expectations and functions of the system platform, the extraction of explicit functional requirements and explora?
tion of implicit functional requirements. Thus, the paper could provide implications for patent information system re?
search organizations as well as the future directions of system platform function upgrade. [Method/process] Based on
the improved Kano model and five indicators, using the measurement methods of mixed-class, sensitivity and compre?
hensive analysis, the paper explores the focus of implicit requirements from users’psychological satisfaction and sensi?
tivity. [Result/conclusion] The basic requirements include real- time patent data monitoring, diversified retrieval
methods, patent bibliometrics, citation analysis, and information organization; the expected requirements include the
provision of patent family utilization information, patent licensing information, data cleaning and data processing func?
tion; the attractive requirements are patent information text mining and technology roadmap. The technology roadmap is
the most sensitive index among all the indicators, affecting user satisfaction easily.
