[目的/意义]期刊的时效性与影响力是期刊两个非常重要的特征，二者都是期刊评价的重要组成要素，且 都与期刊质量密切相关，研究期刊时效性与影响力之间的关系以及两者关系的组合特征对于期刊发展来说至关 重要。[方法/过程]文章以2020年《中国学术期刊影响因子年报》中图书馆学、情报学学科的46种期刊作为数据来 源，提出期刊时效性指数，研究期刊时效性与影响力的关系，并通过创建四象限模型研究不同时效性与影响力的 期刊的分类特征。[结果/结论]研究发现：期刊时效性指数有利于识别同一学科下内容差异性期刊；期刊时效性对 影响力的平均弹性为正，但随着影响力的提高时效性的弹性会逐渐下降；通过四象限模型发现高时效性低影响力 类期刊和低时效性低影响力类期刊的质量有待提高；高时效性低影响力类期刊的基金论文比、平均引文数与低时 效性高影响力类期刊相比处于较低水平；低时效性低影响力类期刊的引用期刊数与高时效性高影响力类期刊相 比处于较低水平。

[Purpose/significance] The timeliness and impact of journals are two very important characteristics of jour? nals. Both are important components of journal evaluation and are closely related to the quality of journals. It is crucial for researching journal’s development that the relationship between timeliness and impact and the relationship be? tween combinatorial characteristics of the journal. [Method/process] This paper uses 46 journals in library science and information science in the Annual Report for Chinese Academic Journal Impact Factors as data sources, proposes the journal timeliness index, studies the relationship between journal timeliness and impact, and creates a four-quad? rant model by creating a four-quadrant model.Research the classification characteristics of journals with different time? liness and impact. [Result/conclusion] The research found that: the journal timeliness index is helpful to identify jour? nals with different content in the same discipline; The average elasticity of journal timeliness to impact is positive, but the elasticity of timeliness will gradually decrease with the increase of impact; Through the four-quadrant model, it is found that the quality of high timeliness and low impact journals and low timeliness and low impact journals need to be improved;The fund-sponsored paper ratio and the average number of references of high timeliness and low impact jour? nals are at a low level compared with low timeliness and high impact journals;The number of citing journals of low time? liness and low impact journals is at a low level compared with high timeliness and high impact journals.
